Mission and Vision
We exist to equip children to learn about God, grow in their faith, and serve in the church and community as we support parents and caregivers in the discipleship of their children. Our desire is that every child would have a personal relationship with Christ and seek to live a life that is honoring to Him.
Sunday School is a special time to help your children know God, learn from His Word, and understand His plan for their lives. Our team of qualified, caring teachers love Jesus and love to share His Word with our students each week.
At 9:00 a.m. Age-based Sunday School classes meet from 9:00 – 10:10 am in our secure Children’s Ministry wing, located on the lower level of the building. Loving nursery care is provided for children from birth through age three. Classes are grouped as follows:
- Pre-school to Kindergarten
- 1st to 3rd grades
- 4th to 6th grades
At 10:30 a.m. Children in kindergarten through fourth grade enjoy the first half of the service with their parents. They are dismissed before the sermon for Kids Worship, where they have an opportunity to worship God together through Bible lessons, crafts, and games. Preschoolers enjoy their own class which begins at 10:30. Nursery care is provided during this service as well.
Wednesday Nights (from September – May)
Wednesday nights are an exciting time at Grace Church, with programs for children of all ages. Boys and girls from preschool through sixth grade can be a part of AWANA, a Bible club program featuring games, a Bible lesson, and a special focus on memorizing Scripture.
Boys in fourth through sixth grades can be a part of the Boys Brigade (also called Christian Service Brigade), a Christian “scouting” program where boys grow in Christ through a comprehensive process of life skills, physical and mental activities, fun, service, achievement, Bible memory, and stories.
Safety and Security
To assure the safety and security of your children, we have instituted the use of Kidcheck. Kidcheck is a check-in and child information program that is used nationwide by churches, schools, and daycare providers.
Kidcheck ensures that only the people you designate can pick up your child from church activities. It also gives teachers and caregivers up-to-date information on your child’s allergies. Parents can pre-register their children from home by creating a Kidcheck account. Follow the steps to create an account and a password and then choose Grace Church at Willow Valley (Lancaster, PA) from the drop-down menu. You can also register here at church. We look forward to serving you!
