Every first Sunday of May (this year May 6th) we bring our two services together for what we affectionately refer to as “Celebrate Grace.” The name carries a two-fold meaning. First (and foremost) we want to celebrate God’s grace. If it were not for his unmerited favor extended to us, Grace Church would not exist. In addition, we want to celebrate what God is doing in and through us as Grace Church.
So what does this celebration look like? We begin with a time of connection in our Grace Cafe at 9:00am. This is followed by our one combined worship service. This service will include many of the “usual” things we do, like singing, praying, and reading and digging into the Bible. In addition, we will be hearing some faith stories from people who call Grace Church their spiritual home, reflecting on our church’s mission, and concluding with the spiritual practice of communion.
Following our worship service, we will gather in our Family Life Center to enjoy a catered meal together. At the conclusion of the meal (approximately 12:15pm), all our welcome to stay for our member’s meeting in which our covenant members have the opportunity to give input into key aspects of our church’s ministry.
Celebrate Grace is always a highlight of my year! I invite you to come and join us. Let’s celebrate God’s grace together!
