In the gospels, we are introduced to the heart Jesus has for children. It must have been one of those very busy ministry days. Numerous parents, grandparents and probably aunts and uncles were bringing children to Jesus. They wanted this popular, miracle-working rabbi to bless their kids. The disciples thought their master had better things to do, so they were turning these adults and their children away. When Jesus caught on to what was happening, he grew angry. He rebuked his disciples, telling them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14). Children matter to Jesus … and so they had better matter to us. This coming Sunday (March 13th), we will be celebrating our Children’s Ministries. If you are looking for a new church home, I invite you to join us. And bring your kids with you. We would love to introduce them to Jesus! And if you desire to see what we offer for children, please check out our Children’s Ministries page by clicking on the menu at the top right corner of this page.
