This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12-13
As Easter approaches, we will turn our focus once again to the sacrifice of Jesus. Using the Apostle’s Creed as our guide, we will dig deep into the love of Jesus:
April 7th: No Greater Love: He Suffered under Pontius Pilate (Mark 15:1-20)
April 14th:No Greater Love: Crucified, Dead, and Buried (Matthew 27:26-61)
April 18th: No Greater Love Visualized – The Easter Three-fold Communion Service – 6:30 pm
April 21st: No Greater Love: On the Third Day He Arose Again from the Dead (John 20:1-18). 6:30 am – Sonrise Service, on the grounds of the Willow Valley Chapel Worship services at 9:00 and 10:30 am.
April 28th: No Greater Love: He Ascended into Heaven (Acts 1)
As we realize the magnitude of Christ’s sacrificial love for us, we cannot help but love others the same way. Here are some special opportunities to join other members of the Grace Church family to show God’s love to your neighbors:
Invite a friend to join you for the No Greater Love Coffee House on April 14th
Serve as a client advocate for Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services
Invite a neighbor/family member/friend/etc. to attend our Easter service with you
Help out at the Refugee Family Dinner and Game Night at Edward Hand Middle School, Wednesday, April 24 at 5:00 pm. Grace Church is partnering with Eastern Mennonite Missions to serve refugee families in Lancaster. We will provide dinner for the families and a game night for the children. While our teens play games with the kids, their parents will attend a seminar about summer language learning programs in the SDoL and work with translators to complete their registration forms.
Interact with others at the Coffee Table Evangelism Project in Lancaster City Square on April 27th
