Student Ministries

The most important part of the Christian life is knowing God. We get to know God better when we study and meditate on the truth that is given to us by God in the Bible. In the Student Ministry, we spend a lot of time learning from the Word of God through preaching and teaching, because we believe God speaks to us, gives us understanding, and strengthens our faith through the Bible.

Sunday Mornings

9:45 a.m.

Senior High – This year we will be taking our Senior High students through Jon Nielsen’s book Bible Study. Series teaches teens how to study Gods Word and how to help others do the same!

Junior High – Junior High students will be using a curriculum created by Truth 78 called, Teach Me Your Way: A Study for Youth on Surrender to Jesus and Submission to His Way. The curriculum starts by talking about why we were created and what it means to follow Jesus and then moves into the Sermon on the Mount.

“The evidence of a surrendered life is obedience and the mark of the obedient heart is reflected in the true righteousness of the person who has put off the old self and has put on the new self.”

Wednesday Evenings

6:30 p.m. – On Wednesday evenings our students come together to hear teaching from Scripture and then break into small discussion groups. We usually include games and finish the evening with dodgeball or volleyball. Once a month, we serve in Lancaster City or among our church body and host an open discussion Coffee House.

The Importance of Parents

Another important part of Student Ministries at Grace is a focus on helping parents disciple their children effectively. God willing, the teaching we provide on Sundays and Wednesday nights will provide a foundation for parent-teen discussions about real life issues that extend beyond youth group. After every meeting, you and your teens will have the opportunity to discuss together what they learned and how it impacts their lives at school, at home, on their sports team, and with friends.
