Grace Church values corporate singing for several reasons, but the most important reason is that God has commanded us to sing (Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:19). The Bible tells us that singing together as the body of Christ helps us be united in the Gospel with peace and love, and that God is glorified as we express our praise and thankfulness to Him. Therefore, we sing!
We also believe that song is one of the best ways to remember the Gospel. Singing helps us to memorize sound doctrine, which equips us for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16). As a result, we are particular about the songs that we sing together at Grace, making sure that the songs we worship with are Gospel-centered and reflect the realities of Christian life as best as possible. We believe God is most glorified in our singing when our songs reflect the glory of His work (Eph. 1:3-14).
