AWANA

AWANA

Cubbies and Sparks Clubs are now full!

Awana is a Bible Club for preschool and elementary aged children. The program includes:

Cubbies

Cubbies are preschoolers who will be entering kindergarten within two years. All children complete an entrance book each year and then receive their workbooks. Cubbies is a two-year program that takes the children through Bible stories, verse memorization, crafts related to the story, and puppet skits. Children work on their books at a set pace. The teacher will send home a schedule, so parents can help their children with the book work and verse memorization. Children receive a patch for their Awana vest when they complete sections of their books.

Sparks

Sparks are kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders. Each child will receive a handbook based on his/her grade. All children will receive an entrance booklet each year that will take them through the Gospel message. They can recite verses and show completed handbook sections to their leaders each week to earn points that can be used at the AWANA store. They also receive points for wearing their uniforms, bringing their Bibles and handbooks, attendance, and for bringing a friend. Children are encouraged to work on their handbooks during the week at home, on their own, or with their parents’ help.

Each week the children receive a Bible lesson with the entire Sparks group, spend time working on their handbooks, and play games in the gym. Game time may be switched out for craft time once per month if the gym is needed for other groups.

Truth & Training

T&T kids are 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders. They will receive a handbook based on their grade. All children will receive an entrance booklet each year that will take them through the Gospel message. They can recite verses and show completed handbook sections to their leaders each week to earn points that can be used for the AWANA store.

They also receive points for wearing their uniforms, bringing their Bibles and handbooks, attendance, and for bringing a friend. Children are encouraged to work on their handbooks during the week at home, on their own, or with their parents’ help.

Each week the children receive a Bible lesson with the entire T&T group, spend time working in their handbooks, and then have time in the gym for games.
